Texas was already a terrific golf destination with resorts like Barton Creek and Horseshoe Bay, but now a brand-new gem has been added to the top of the list\u2014Fields Ranch<\/mark><\/a>, with design by Gil Hanse<\/mark><\/a> and Beau Welling<\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now is the time to start making some plans, because it\u2019s already starting to warm up in Austin<\/mark><\/a> and April in Dallas-Fort Worth<\/mark><\/a> is absolutely perfect with temps in the mid to high 70\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw<\/mark><\/a> recently renovated there wonderful Cliffside course at Barton Creek, that also includes two fantastic Tom Fazio<\/mark><\/a> layouts (Canyons and Foothills), as well as the terrific Arnold Palmer<\/mark><\/a> Lakeside design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horseshoe Bay Resort offers three great layouts by Robert Trent Jones, Sr<\/mark><\/a>. and Roger Rulewich, who also collaborated to create the iconic courses of the RTJ Golf Trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
