style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0491e3\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Jon Rahm<\/mark><\/a> had a phenomenal 2024 LIV season, capping off the year with a dominating 3-shot victory over Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia at the final event of the year in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/events\/chicago-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Chicago<\/mark><\/a> and finished atop our <a href=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/blog\/liv-player-rankings\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">LIV Power Rankings<\/mark><\/a> by a wide margin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rahm&#8217;s performance at the &#8217;24 majors, however, has no doubt left him burning through the winter with just one Top-10 finish (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theopen.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theopen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Open Championship<\/mark><\/a>)\u2014so you can bet he will be laser focused in 2025 (uh-oh Scottie).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2024 was a break-out season for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/joaquin-niemann\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/joaquin-niemann\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0796e8\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Joaquin Niemann<\/mark><\/a> as he led our Power Rankings through most of the year until Rahm finally ran him down with a win at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/events\/uk-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">UK<\/mark><\/a> and then followed with a runner-up at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/events\/greenbrier-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Greenbrier<\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Niemann faltered a bit down the stretch, he still finished well ahead of #3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/bryson-dechambeau\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/bryson-dechambeau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0795e7\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Bryson DeChambeau<\/mark><\/a>, in spite of Bryson\u2019s fantastic performance at the &#8217;24 major championships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also seems the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masters.com\/en_US\/players\/invitees_2025.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.masters.com\/en_US\/players\/invitees_2025.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Masters Tournament Committee<\/mark> <\/a>was keeping an eye on Niemann&#8217;s fantastic 2024 LIV season, offering Joaquin a special invitation to <a href=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/golf-courses2\/3572-Augusta-National-Golf-Club.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/golf-courses2\/3572-Augusta-National-Golf-Club.html\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0a95e6\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Augusta National <\/mark><\/a>in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"> <\/mark><a href=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/golf-courses2\/3430-Bolingbrook-Golf-Club.html\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Bolingbrook Golf Club<\/mark><\/a>, so when you look at the way the big guns finished up the year, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/2025-schedule\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">2025 LIV<\/mark><\/a> season should deliver a ton of excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that 12 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">LIV<\/mark><\/a> players are included among our <a href=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/blog\/all-time-top-100-player-rankings\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">All-Time Top 100 Players<\/mark><\/a>, starting with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/phil-mickelson\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/phil-mickelson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0c95e4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Phil<\/mark><\/a> at #9, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/dustin-johnson\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/dustin-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">DJ<\/mark><\/a><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0a90de\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark>at #29, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/sergio-garcia\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/sergio-garcia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Sergio<\/mark> <\/a>at #32 and Lee Westwood at #34.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jon Rahm broke into the top 50 with his T7 at The Open Championship, and Bryson BeChambeau moved up to #91 with his win at the U.S. Open, runner-up at The PGA and T6 at The Masters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/brooks-koepka\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/player\/brooks-koepka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Brooks Koepka<\/mark><\/a>, currently #57, can move into the the top 50 all-time with a big year at the &#8217;25 majors (and he is due after last year where he made all the cuts but failed to record a Top-10). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Power Rankings Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Players are rated and ranked on the basis of events played, average finish, wins, runner-up, Top 5 and Top 10 finishes\u2014as well as performance at the major championships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No. 1 Jon Rahm: 110.2 Rating&nbsp;<\/strong> Jon started the &#8217;24 season with a T3 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/schedule\/mayakoba-2024?season=2024\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/schedule\/mayakoba-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Mayakoba<\/mark><\/a> and kept his foot on the gas all year, finishing in the top 10 week after week until finally torching the field with 2 wins and a runner-up in the final 3 events of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 12 LIV tournaments, Rahm recorded 2 wins, a runner-up, 5 Top 5\u2019s and 4 Top 10\u2019s\u2014with an average finish of 4.8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unless he suffers a signifacant injury, Rahm will dominate again in 2025\u2014and it&#8217;s a good bet there will be another major championship trophy on his mantel before the year is out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No. 2 Joaquin Niemann: 99.1 Rating<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joaquin jumped out early winning 2 of the first 3 events of 2024 (Mayakoba and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/events\/jeddah-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Jedda<\/mark><\/a>), and applied heat  through the final round of the last tournament of the year in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/schedule\/chicago-2024?season=2024\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/schedule\/chicago-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Chicago<\/mark><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 13 events, Joaquin recorded 2 wins, 2 runner-ups, 3 Top 5\u2019s and 3 Top 10\u2019s, with an average finish of 8.9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rest assured, the sweet swinging Niemann, who only just turned 26 in November, will continue to dog Rahm though the 2025 season (and perhaps grab a major championship as well).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"627\" &#8217;24<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No. 3 Bryson DeChambeau: 90.2<\/strong><strong> Rating<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 LIV season was a good one for Bryson with 2-Top 5\u2019s and 5-Top 10\u2019s, but considering his powerhouse performance at the major championships (including his second <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usopen.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.usopen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">U.S. Open<\/mark> <\/a>win), you would have expected quite a bit more\u2014particularly after recording 2 LIV wins in 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, DeChambeau was very consistent throughout the season and ended the year at 4th in average finish (12.8)\u2014look for Bryson to elevate his game further at LIV events, while remaining a force (and a big draw) at the majors in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No. 4 Tyrell Hatton: 87.8<\/strong><strong> Rating<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hatton posted a win in Nashville at <a href=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/golf-courses2\/9413-The-Grove-Golf-Course.html\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">The Grove<\/mark><\/a> in 2024, his debut season with LIV, and also recorded a runner-up, 4 Top 5\u2019s and a Top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tyrell posted an average finish of 10.2, 3rd in the league behind Rahm and Niemann, while recording his best ever showing (T9) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masters.com\/index.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.masters.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">The Masters<\/mark><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hatton is loaded with talent, and if he keeps his temper in check it\u2019s almost certain he will record another win (or two) in 2025  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"555\" height=\"565\" src=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Brooks-Koepka-2023-PGA-Champ-1024x651-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6938\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.9823008849557522;width:269px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/golfday.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Brooks-Koepka-2023-PGA-Champ-1024x651-2.jpg 555w, class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No. 5 Brooks Koepka: 79.6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooks notched 2 more LIV wins in 2024 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/schedule\/singapore-2024?season=2024\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/schedule\/singapore-2024?season=2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Singapore<\/mark><\/a> and Greenbrier), bringing his league leading total to 5 since joining LIV in 2022 (and matching his number in major championship victories).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In spite of the wins, Koepka&#8217;s 2024 season was dissapointing, with an average finish of 16.4 which ranked him at 10th in the league. watching Oosthuizen strike a laser-like long iron pin seeker (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TC_rwe29k4Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 2-T5&#8217;s and a pair of Top-10&#8217;s (as well as a couple of major Top-10&#8217;s), Smith went winless in 2024 and plummented all the way down to No.7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cam didn&#8217;t exactly fall off a cliff though, with 3 runner-up finishes, 4 Top-10&#8217;s and a T6 at The Masters\u2014but two extremely poor performances (Houston and Chicago) knocked his Average Finish down to 17.3 (12th in the League).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expect Smith and his putter to get back on track with a couple of wins in &#8217;25, and if that wand heats up at a major he will be very tough to beat.
